This is great news Craig! After a truly rotten day, this news has been the first thing to put a smile on my face.

Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation Tiggy, and I'm glad this news cheered you up. It has been a long time coming, that's for sure! And for those of us in the UK, there is still a small wait until the Amazon page comes up - however if you can't wait I can order it for you if you'd like...just send me a PM and we'll sort it out.
I only hope you enjoy the book when you get it!

Thanks Johny!
It appears that there are issues at the moment with getting the book available for a reasonable price on Amazon UK (I won't bore you with the details *sigh*).
So the best way of getting this book is either to use the link above and pay Amazon US (the cost was £13.34 including delivery shipping last time I checked but varies due to the pound/dollar fluctuation of course), but this will take around 2-3 weeks to arrive...
OR order through me personally. In which case send me a cheque - if we make it £15 I will make sure I sign the book and send it post haste along with my new moo cards denoting Jim's wonderful artwork for 'A Gathering Of Wings' with it!
I must apologise for this; I am actually looking at setting up a proper payment system on my actual website and promoting my books myself rather than relying on Amazon.
If anyone wants to send me a cheque just PM me and I'll send you my address etc (if you don't already have it).

Can I order from you personally Craig? I really like the sound of Jim's new moo cards too! I'll await Paypal request from you mate, or if problem with that let me know and I'll send you a cheque for the princely (but very reasoable) sum of £15.
PS apologies for the surprise call on Sunday...I was with my friend Steph in Lichfield, near(ish) to Coventry (awesome cathedral by the way, it's the only 3 spire cathedral in England, is about 800 years old, and has the most beautiful and ornate stone carvings of the Saxon kings on the front!), now Steph is a keen (and very gifted) photographer, and I left her inside the cathedral with camera gear happily taking some shots and went off and did my own arcane things...when I phoned you, Steph was still absorbed in her photographs and I was feeling a bit restive lol...thought I'd quickly catch up with things. As you were otherwise engaged, I took myself into a quaint period coffee shop and had some Earl Grey tea and a toasted teacake...went back to the cathedral and Steph had finished inside...to start the external shots...aaargh!!!! Seriously we had a lovely day there, and I was bowled over by the beauty of the cathedral and its carvings.

It was a lovely day thanks Craig - I'm not a 'devotee' especially of cathedrals, but the intricate and aged facade of this one is just beautiful!
Thanks mate. Apologies if the payment confusingly didn't reach you 'linked' with your original request, I had a bit of a faff for some reason, but got there in the end by sending you a payment Can't wait

Just like to say Craig - thanks very much for sending me my signed copy (with one of Jim's beautiful cards as a bookmark) the other day (and the superb trance/EM/darkwave ambient CD compilation that accompanied it!) I haven't started it yet, I'm just pleasantly anticipating making a start soon..although actually I did read the first few paragraphs on day of receipt, and am impressed by this introduction, difficult to articulate fully perhaps why, but I feel its humorous yet well written style leads one very nicely into the book I think

Johny,
Thanks very much for the praise! Glad you enjoyed the CD and really pleased you are liking the introduction to this book. I hope it will make you laugh a bit in places; certainly you will know some of the stories and know some of the places I'm talking about too!! Thank you so much for your support

Well, nearly half way through The Lemon now Craig - a delightful book, I'd heartily recommend to all! I do actually feel kind of privileged you sharing these passages from your life, with your usual candour and infectious warmth I certainly do vividly recognise some of the locales mate, eg The Green Park Tavern (I played pool there some lunchtimes when at Pinesgate in 95/96, not long after your 'adventure' there deleriously recounted!), and of course where you lived etc. I won't describe more for fear of giving detail away, but aside from the poignant or painful moments I can so relate to, I really laughed in other places! A fantastic volume to dip into, and takes me back to some of those times and places too, including adventures and good times we've shared

I've just completed The Lemon. (Literally, on the train, lol.) I've been stretching this out as long as possible to savour it, ! didn't want to do my usual thing & read it all in one go.
Craig, I'm very impressed. Your particular style of writing lends itself very, very well to this kind of book. You have a very humorous turn of phrase. (I laughed out loud at the birthday story. The word 'funnel' now has new meaning for me!)
If I had to critique it at all (much as I as hate doing so, but I think you would like an honest response) much as I enjoyed the book, and I really did, I didn't always find it that relatable. I found the 'secrets' section was more relatable than some of the stories. Now that probably says more about me than it does the book, and what my expectations are of this kind of book, but it gave me more of a sense of who you are. I appreciate it must be very difficult to decide what you do & don't want reveal about yourself in a book though!
Overall I thouroughly enjoyed it, and my only real complaint is it isn't a tome! I'm left happily wanting more.

Just to say Craig, reached the chapter 'Neighbour Wars' now (I'm really enjoying dipping in, about a chapter a night ) - looking forward to this one lol! I agree with Tiggy, great if it were a thick volume to read! Having said that, it's format of short sections, along with attractive book design I find elegant. Oh, 'The Lemon: An Interval', that was really funny
Interesting point about relatability Tiggy (is there such a word?). I find it hard to comment on that aspect in a way, as I've known Craig for years and am pretty familiar with some of the locales and (by Craig having related them to me at the time), the events. Overall, I would say the book has an accessible, lively and engaging style. I know I too will be left happily wanting more when I finish! Vol 2 Craig?

Lol Johny, I love that we're both gently demanding volume 2 already! How impatient are we?
I liked 'Neighbour Wars' too, and I also enjoyed recognizing certain locales. Saying that though, Craig definitely has a way of painting a scenario that makes it easy to visualize, whether you know the place/scenario or not.
You may well have a point about the small issue of the relatability thing (and if that's not a word it should be). It didn't stop me enjoying the book anyhoo.
I'd love to give a more in depth review, but I'm finding it difficult to say much more about the book without giving too much away!

Aren't we just Tiggy I've just read Neignbour Wars - I know the place Craig is talking about well. Lovely descriptions Craig provides of the personalities involved! My God. Like you, I'd like to give a fuller review, but that really would be too difficult without giving it away.
Suffice to say, warmth, humour, candour and an infectious zest for life are all very evident, which aren't surprising if one knows Craig
I'm also by the way reading biography of Ken Russell, 'Phallic Frenzy: The Life and Films of Ken Russell' Crazy guy, crazy films - but I should add this to the books forum when I've read a bit more
Back to Craig's excellent book, almost reluctant to continue for a wee while as it will then be fully read - hey Craig, we want vol 2!

I know what you mean about pacing yourself with the book Johny, I tried to do the same thing. I tend to read everything all in one go, but I wanted to savour this one.
Look forward to reading your Ken Russell review - bet that is quite the psychedelic read!

Thank you both for your comments about The Lemon. It is very heart-warming and pleasing for me to hear how much you have enjoyed the book! With such a cry for volume two I may just think about doing that...
...interesting the topic on relatability. I'm sure for some it can be very relatable, and for others less so. I suppose it depends on what has happened in your life. I hope through some of it you can get a better picture of who I am (you have said as much Tiggy, which is wonderful) but this begs the question - would the average person (and especially someone who didn't know me) really be bothered finding out?? I think this is what you mean about relatability...I'm intending to sell this to my friends and acquaintances so they get a perspective of my life...but to sell it to the masses? Mmm...something I need to ponder and maybe work into for the next one...
...that said, not sure if there will be a next one just yet. I do have to concentrate fully now on my two other 'epics', the exciting poetry project 'A Gathering of Wings' AND the sequel to 'A Wizard's Tears' - namely 'The Dark Shores', which I am writing more into it with each passing week! With any luck both of these will be released in the next year...
...thank you both though, for your wonderful 'mini' reviews and comments. I'm totally thrilled you enjoyed this!

Re: Ken Russell book Tiggy - hopefully I'll post something soon, when I've read a bit more. It certainly is quite psychedelic, sort of unsettling but highly entertaining at same time, and that's just the intro
I think there's enough in there Craig to 'sell it' to the masses, I really do - the situations you describe, besides having a lot of warmth and humour, are situations many of us share, and even the more extraordinary ones, such as your epic migration to Scotland, are fascinating because of their extraordinariness. Wouldn't want you to delay the other 2 works though mate - for one thing, really really looking forward to A Gathering of Wings!!
I have 2 chapters of A Lemon to go - looking forward to reading these avidly, as I have done every previous chapter
